Beginner P2

Course Overview

The P2 Basic Paragliding Course is designed for beginners. This comprehensive training takes minimum of 7 days, depending on the weather conditions. Participants will receive theoretical and practical instruction, successful candidates will gain a certification and license upon completion.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the P2 course, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Age: 14 years and older (16+ preferred)
  • Height: Between 1.5m and 2.1m
  • Weight: Between 45kg and 120kg
  • Education: Minimum of primary school completion
  • Health: Must be in good mental and physical condition suitable for sports

Required Documents

All applicants must submit the following:

  • ID: Original and a copy of a valid ID card
  • Criminal Record: Issued within the past 6 months (required for applicants aged 18 and over)
  • Blood Type Documentation: Any official document (e.g., driver’s license, family register)
  • Educational Background: Proof of educational attainment
  • Consent Letter: Notarized parental consent if under 18
  • Photos: Four recent ID-sized photos (taken within 6 months)
  • Medical Report: General health report from a local medical facility. If necessary, a specialist report may be requested by the trainer
  • Insurance: Flight accident insurance for non-Turkish citizens or proof of premium payments

Course Content

Theoretical Modules

Trainees will learn:

  • How to lay out and prepare the wing
  • Wing control and inflation techniques
  • Takeoff posture and running technique
  • Progress is evaluated continuously, and trainees must pass a final written and practical exam with a minimum score of 75%.

Flight Practice Program

Trainees will perform 7 to 10 solo flights from hilltops between 60–350 meters above sea level, gradually adjusting to altitude. Flights are only conducted in safe wind conditions (maximum 20 km/h).

Upon successful course completion and instructor approval, trainees are awarded:

  • P2 Paragliding Pilot License

Course Fee

Intermediate P3

Paragliding Intermediate Training Course (P3)

Course Overview

The P3 Intermediate Paragliding Course is the next step for certified P2 pilots seeking to expand their flying capabilities and gain experience in dynamic conditions. This in-depth training spans a minimum of 30 flight days, with adjustments made based on weather conditions and participant count. The program includes 50 flights, 12+ hours of air time, and introduces advanced flying techniques, safety protocols, and thermalling basics.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be in good physical and mental health, suitable for sports and flight activity
  • Hold a valid P2 Paragliding Pilot Certificate
  • Be free from any medical condition that prevents safe flight participation

Required Documentation

To apply, candidates must submit:

  • Original and copy of a valid ID card
  • Criminal record issued within the last 6 months (not required for those under 18)
  • Document showing blood type (e.g., on driver’s license or ID)
  • Proof of educational background
  • Copy of the P2 Paragliding License
  • Four recent passport-sized photos (taken within the last 6 months)
  • Paragliding accident insurance
  • Medical report confirming fitness for paragliding (a committee report may be required if deemed necessary by the instructor)
  • Notarized parental consent form for applicants under 18

Training Structure

The training program is divided into three progressive stages, focusing on theoretical knowledge, ground control mastery, and advanced flight performance:

Stage 1 – Ground Training & Basic Soaring Flights

  • 15 supervised flights focused on reverse launch technique,
  • Wing control, and flight planning
  • Written exam with a minimum passing score of 75%
  • Pre- and post-flight briefings with instructor feedback

Stage 2 – Skill Development & Maneuvers

15 flights with a focus on:

  • Reverse takeoff proficiency
  • 360° turns
  • “Big ears” descent technique
  • Speed bar control
  • Introduction to sail flight and coordinated use of controls

Stage 3 – Advanced Flight Techniques

10 final flights with focus on:

  • Top landings (returning to the takeoff point)
  • Spot landings
  • Beginner thermalling techniques
  • Soaring flight under varying wind conditions Each flight is recorded in a personal logbook and signed by the instructor. Wind conditions for flight must not exceed 30 km/h.

SIV Training (Simulation of Incident in Flight)

SIV and emergency maneuver training is conducted in Ölüdeniz or Alanya. Training includes:

  • Emergency response drills
  • Controlled simulations over water using SIV boats and life jackets
  • Equipment Provided

Trainee Responsibilities

Participants are responsible for:

  • Accommodation and meals
  • Personal transportation and travel costs
  • Entry fees to flight sites or forests
  • Transportation and location-based logistics

Certification

Graduates of the P3 course will receive:

P3 Paragliding Certificate Intermediate Paragliding Pilot License
